Loganberries produce a large, aromatic berry, red to purple colour that is produced on a thornless, trailing vine, during early summer. The flavour of the loganberry is unique and often too tart to be eaten fresh.
This fruit is excellent and well suited for jams, pies, tarts and many other cooked desserts.
Thriving in a full sun position, in a moist, well drained soil. Apply rich organic matter to retain moisture and curb weed growth. Canes should be pruned to 20-30cm high during spring to encourage new growth in the spring.
