An ornamental, slow-growing, medium to tall evergreen shrub, which produces red and white flowers above dark green leaves. The flower develop into sweet, delicious fruit during late April, and add an additional, handsome feature to the plant.



Uses


An ideal plant for all sized gardens. When planted close together, a practical screen can be created. Feijoa can also be espaliered or trained as a small tree with one or more trunks.



Care


Plant in full sun to part shade, and in a well drained soil. Prune lightly after harvesting to maintain a shape and promote new growth. Benefits from an application of citrus fertilizer during spring and after harvesting. Tolerates light sprays of sea salt.
