Bay Leaf - Scented potatoes


Peel 4 potatoes and cut into 1cm slices. Combine the potatoes, 1 tbs. salt, and 5 dried bay leaves in a large saucepan and add water to cover Let it simmer untill cooked. Drain and discard bay leaves. Place potatoes in a large bowl and toss witholive oil, lemon juice and chopped, fresh parsley.



Use


The perfect plant for formal specimens as they can be pruned to shape for topiary work or hedging. Ideal for containers and screening. The leaves are often used in cooking.



Care


The easy and reliable plant is suited to most gardens in a sun or semi shade position. Prefers moist, well drained soils. Feeding regularly with a liquid fertilizer will help keep the plants healthy. An excellent coastal plant.
